Google-Motorola deal
So as many of you might have known Google has acquired Motorola mobility division(the one that makes phones) for 12.5 Billion dollars(yes,that’s 12.5 Billion dollars).Google is saying that their main aim is to secure the patent trove of the division to fend of the patent attacks on android.
Right now motorola has about 25000 patents and google will also be adding employees of motorola to their own.Now as to what this will do to android still remains a mystery,even though google announced that Android will remain open.
I too think google will not mess with android for now,because it seems to do a fine job,unless ios becomes a major threat then maybe google will replicate the method of apple where they design both the hardware and software.
